JM Stained glass design

I am a lifelong Washington resident and am excited to share my stained glass creations with my friends and neighbors. I have been making art most of my life. From photography and cake decorating, to macrame and stained glass, I have dabled in many artistic fields. I enjoy the process of learning how to make something and mastering the details.

I have always admired the old rickety windows you find in antique stores, which led me to take a basic stained glass class. After this class, I dove right into this artwork. I create small and large suncatchers, each are one of a kind. Choosing the glass to use is my favorite part. In most of my pieces I use locally mouth blown Fremont antique glass, it is the most stunning glass!

Each piece consists of many hours of work. From choosing the right glass to tell the story of the pattern, cutting the glass, grinding, foiling, soldering, and finally cleaning and polishing, I enjoy every step of this art form.

My style comes from my love of nature, design, and a hint of 70's influence. I put a lot of love into every piece I create, and hope each of my pieces show the passion I have for stained glass art.
