Julie Senf ~ Watercolor
Julie was born into a strong family history of very creative people. At the age of 2 she was transported to the amazing and rugged wilderness of Alaska where she spent her young childhood in the great outdoors exploring and imagining. It was there at the age of 8 that she discovered drawing in an art class attended with her mother. Although the God given ability to create was realized and an artist wanted to take her on as a protege, the desire to explore and interact with nature was stonger. At the age of 12 she moved to the beautiful and scenic Olympic Peninsula where she has remained, exploring the wonderland of the Pacific Northwest. Periodically during her young adulthood she experimented with art in an occasional class or on her own but the desire to bring it to the forefront was not yet there. She met her husband and avid supporter Burt while attending college and has since raised 2 wonderful children who are exploring their own worlds and discovering their places in it. It was when she became what is called an "empty nester" that she discovered time to enter the creative side of her brain and let it slowly emerge. It has been a wonderful time of discovery and with the encouragement of family and friends she has ventured out to share her art with others. She finds great joy when someone connects with and enjoys one of her art pieces.
