Melissa Doyel ~ Multimedia Paint

Bio Pic.jpeg

Melissa has drawn, painted, or handcrafted most of her life and loves exploring new ways to create. After moving to the Sierra foothills in 2008 from the San Francisco Bay area, she was able to devote more time to her art. She has been challenging herself and pursuing her passion ever since. Having recently moved to Sequim with her husband and two cats, she is exicted to explore all the new opportunities for painting.

Melissa works in watercolor, acrylics, pastels and oils, and enjoys painting a variety of subject matter, including portraiture. Her own reference material of special people, places and nature inspire her work. While not formally trained, she feels incredibly fortunate to have found amazing teachers and artists who have helped her explore new ideas and techniques. She learns something with every painting and likes to push herself to keep growing as an artist.

Melissa's work has been accepted into multiple regional juried shows as well as having received Best of Division, Best of Show and multiple first and second place awards in the Amador County Fairs.

You can now find Melissa's work at the One Of A Kind Gallery in Port Angeles, WA in addition to the Sutter Creek Gallery in Sutter Creek, CA. You an also view more of her work on her website,
